Education & Tours
Education Available for schools, camps and social groups our exciting education programs are a value-added experience that can be enjoyed by all. Education Programs are hosted in the Centre's purpose built classroom, the "Southern Right Room", which caters for large groups in a private, safe and secure learning environment. Programs run for a duration of 45mins - 1 hr* and are divided into Curriculum Bands based on the level of knowledge required by participants.

All Education Programs and presentations are now offered both at the South Australian Whale Centre as well as externally at schools or at a location of the teacher's/carer's/guide's choice. This means no matter whether you are a school visiting on camp, or would like us to come to your school/venue, we now have the facilities to do so.

The pack has been designed to provide teachers with a systematic approach to support students when learning about Whales.

The Centre and Big Duck Boat Tours offer 30 and 60 minute boat tours of the local marine waters. Group rates can be organised for groups of up to 10 people per trip*. See whales (in season), seals, dolphins, birds and other marine life in their natural environment. Please enquire by contacting the Centre on 8551 0750. Combined boat and classroom based sessions can be tailored to suit your timetable during your visit. *weather permitting
